Most Rev. Bishop Ignatius L. Mascharenhas, Rev. Fr. Robert, dear Sisters, teachers and my dear students. The best and beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt by heart.” Gratitude is one such prayer. It is a great honor for me to be here with you to celebrate this milestone, the silver Jubilee of my religions profession. Now I am here to share my sentiments of gratitude at the close of this Jubilee celebration. I take this opportunity first and foremost to Thank God Almighty for the gift of my life, my beloved parents who brought me up with love and care and ignited in me ardent faith, my loving brothers and sisters who taught me to be a good sister.
As a teenager I set out on this journey not knowing well where it is leading me to, but the Lord brought always surprises on my way and greatest of all that was bringing me back to the port of St. Anne’s family. I thank God for my religious vocation to UMI congregation. It was His grace and mercy that kept me going and helped me to be what I am today.
Today words are not enough to express any gratitude. My heartfelt thanks to your Lordship Most Rev. Bishop Ignatius L. Mascharenhas, for your gracious presence today. Your prayers blessings, moral support and encouragement at all times strengthen me to fulfill my mission.
John .F. Kennedy said ‘As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them’. Our honorable manager himself is an example under whose able guidance this memorable function was organized. My sincere regards and hearty thanks to Fr. Robert, today once again I would like to re-affirm my respect and admiration for you father.
I would like to express my gratitude to my loving sisters, Sr. Pushpa and Sr. Sosan who are always ready and willing at all times to render their help, to enable me to make education truly a transforming. I really feel strengthened by your prayerful support. I am grateful to you dear sisters.
It is said that Life’s journey is always easier when you hear a friend’s footsteps beside you” Yes my dear teachers, I could not only hear your footsteps but feel you were walking along with me. Especially, when I look back the past two years of my life here, I am glad that there were shoulders to lean on to say “It’s Okay” and at times when I did something good there were people to say “you have done well”, In no way I claim there were no struggles. Sure there were but it is said: When someone hurts you, we should write it down on sand , where the wind of forgiveness erase it away. But when someone does something good for us we should engrave it on stone – no wind can erase it. So today I not only engrave it in stone but in my heart. If I have to thank each one of you personally I have volumes. Even though I don’t mention your names, I am sure you can feel my vibrations. I would like to specially thank our staff members who helped in planning and preparing this wonderful program. Every detail was well planned, with inspiring prayers, melodious choir, rhythmic dances artistic decorations, perfect light and sound modulation, thoughtful gifts, inspiring speeches, and the delightful Power point presentation. A big Thank you for everything.
Special thanks to my dear students. “You are my angels, perhaps without you I wouldn’t be standing here today. This day is another surprise. Special thanks to all who participated in today’s program. Thanks to all of you for your wishes and smiles. Kindly convey my greetings and thanks to your parents who support and encourage us in different ways. Our supportive staffs always go out of their way to make sure that everything is in order and ready for all our celebrations here in School. Thank you for your help and support.
Once again I thank each and every one of you. The day you have made for me is the most valuable treasure for me and it will make me to continue my life to serve the Lord and people. I will ever cherish this memorable day all through my life.
Please continue to pray for me. I assure you my prayers. Once again a big thank you.
